- GENERAL TERMS
Car Pick-up: To pick-up the car, the hirer needs to show an original ID or passport, along with an original and valid driving license and a credit / debit card to pay for the rental and the guarantee.
Driving License: The driving license must have been held for a minimum of 3 years and remain valid for at least 30 days after the pick-up date for both the main driver and the additional driver.
In addition, the Driving license must be in English, Latin or Roman alphabets. If the driving license is not in English, Latin or Roman alphabets, it must be accompanied by a valid International Driving Permit (IDP).
The hirer is solely responsible for ensuring that their license is valid for use in Cyprus and determining whether an International Driving Permit is required by Cypriot law. Failure to provide a valid license and International Driving Permit (if required) will result in a non-refundable termination of the reservation at the rental office. Also, if the hirer arrives at the rental office without the necessary documentation, the booking will be cancelled without a refund.
Photocopies, digital licenses, Learner’s Permits, and driver’s licenses with driving restrictions will not be accepted. You may be denied rental for reasons including, but not limited to the following:
- Previous driving disqualifications
- Pending prosecution or police enquiry
- Convictions for offences relating to theft, fraud or dishonesty
- Involved in an at-fault accident within the last 5 years
- Involved in more than 1 accident in the last 3 years
- Defective vision
Age Requirements: For all groups, the minimum driver’s age is 25 years of age and maximum is 80 years of age. Drivers aged between 21 and 24 years of age are allowed to rent groups A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2, D1, D2, V subject to a Young Driver’s Surcharge of €4 per rental day and holding a valid driver’s license for at least one (1) year before the pick-up date. Drivers aged between 70 and 80 will incur an additional charge of €3 per rental day (for all groups). Drivers under 21 may still be insured subject to certain conditions.
Payments: All payments and guarantee amounts will be made in Euros; no other currencies will be accepted. Also, all charges are payable in advance.
However, Ways2go Car Rental Ltd has the right to deny amends on contract if a payment is required and has not been made.
All customers will receive a rental contract showing a detailed breakdown of all charges.
- FEES AND PAYMENTS:
Payment Methods: The hirer can pay in cash, card, and by bank transfer.
For payments by card, a major of valid credit or debit cards are accepted by Ways2go Car Rental Ltd. Accepted cards are listed in the table below.

The abovementioned cards must be shown for all necessary guarantee amounts as well as pre-payments and settlement of final rental charges. Any additional supplements to the normal rental price will be collected prior to the rental vehicle pick-up.
The credit or debit card must be in the main hirer’s name with sufficient funds available to cover the excess liability. In the event that the original booking was paid for utilising a third-party credit or debit card, hirers may be required to present details, permissions and authorisation relating to the transaction. Failure to provide a valid card or the information requested may result in the booking being cancelled and no funds for the prepaid amount reimbursed.
For payments by bank transfers, the hirer should initiate bank transfers at least 5 working days before the pick-up date. Ways2go Car Rental Ltd must confirm that the transfer has been received and cleared before the rental agreement is signed.
Fleet Availability: Ways2go Car Rental Ltd vehicles are classified into categories using the ACRISS codes. Reservations are confirmed for a category and model, unless shown otherwise. Although, Ways2go Car Rental Ltd reserves the right to provide the hirer with a different car model to that originally reserved of an equivalent or higher category type. The vehicle shown on any documentation is for guidance only.
Upgrade and Downgrade vehicle category: The hirer can request a change to their rented vehicle, opting for an upgrade or downgrade in vehicle category, at any time, even before or after the rental agreement has been signed. If there is availability the rental agreement will change, and a different price will be given. The price will depend on vehicle category and model as well as the length of rental.
However, before signing the new contract, Ways2go Car Rental Ltd will require a full inspection of the currently rented vehicle. An appointment will be scheduled for the inspection and vehicle swap. The entire process could take up to 1 hour. Ways2go Car Rental Ltd reserves the right to refuse the change of vehicle category if any scratches, damages, or defects are found on the returned vehicle during the inspection. In such cases, the hirer will be held liable and charged for the identified scratches, damages, or defects.
If an upgrade in vehicle category is required, the hirer must pay the difference in cost during the scheduled appointment and before the vehicle swap. If a downgrade in vehicle category is requested, the hirer will be entitled to a refund for the difference in payments already made for the rental.
Early Return / Extension of rental: The hirer has the right to request an extension or reduction of the rental agreement before or after the rental agreement has been signed.
To extend the rental agreement, availability must be confirmed. The hirer should contact Ways2go Car Rental Ltd as early as possible (preferably with 48 hours’ prior notice), pay the additional cost, and sign a new rental agreement for the extended period.
If the hirer wishes to reduce the length of the rental, a new rental agreement will be created with a revised daily rate based on the new duration. Once this new agreement is signed, the hirer will receive a refund for the difference and if any payments have already been made.
Late Returns & Grace Period: A vehicle is hired for a contracted period as specified in the rental agreement. The return date and time selected by the hirer at the time of booking will be strictly enforced, regardless of any delayed pick-up. If the vehicle is returned beyond the 59-minute grace period, an additional charge will apply. These charges will be deducted from the card provided for the guaranteed amount.
If the rented vehicle is not returned by the hirer at the agreed date, time, and location, Ways2go Car Rental Ltd reserves the right to take possession of the vehicle by any means necessary. If this is not possible, the company may declare the vehicle stolen, cancel all insurance coverage, and report the incident to the police.
One-way rentals: Ways2go Car Rental Ltd can accommodate requests for different pick-up and/or drop-off locations, or times based on staff availability through Email or Viber/WhatsApp. To be accepted, it requires written authorization from Ways2go Car Rental Ltd and an additional charge. If the hirer changes their mind after agreeing and confirming the pick-up and/or drop-off details, Ways2go Car Rental Ltd reserves the right to charge an extra fee.
Pick-up & Drop-off: Ways2go Car Rental Ltd provides specified locations where pick-up and drop-off are FREE of charge. However, an additional fee of €25 per pick-up/drop-off may apply for services outside working hours, which are from 12 a.m. to 7 a.m.
If the hirer chooses Larnaca or Nicosia Center for the car pick-up and drop-off, the specific pick-up location will be provided through Viber/WhatsApp or Email once the payment for the rental agreement has been made. If the hirer chooses Larnaca Hotels/Villas, Ayia Napa Hotels/Villas, Protaras Hotels/Villas, Paralimni Hotels/Villa the hirer will be contacted through Viber/WhatsApp, Email or phone for more detailed information.
- INSURANCE AND LIABILITY:
Pre-authorization Information: At the time of car pick-up, Ways2go Car Rental Ltd will pre-authorize an amount on the main driver’s card as a guarantee. This guaranteed amount, which will be blocked on (not debited), includes the excess or the deposit amounts based on the insurance option chosen by the hirer.
The excess liability is the amount for which the hirer is liable in the event of damage or theft of the rented vehicle. Therefore, while no separate deposit is required, the excess amount will be treated as the deposit for the rental. However, the deposit is only applied in the case the hirer chooses the Full Comprehensive Insurance as a guarantee in case the driver violates the insurance terms.
The pre-authorized amount (excess amount or deposit) does not cover additional charges such as missing fuel upon return, damage due to lack of oil, loss of personal belongings or documents, lost or damaged keys, lost or damaged equipment, damage caused due to influence by alcohol or drugs, damage caused by negligence of the driver, mechanical damage caused by submersion in water or exposure to saltwater, damage to the car lock and door handle, damage or loss of registration plate, damage to upholstery or damage to the wheels, windscreen, windows, interior, exterior (e.g. scratches, dents), antenna, trays, clutch, gearbox, side mirrors, interior lights, warning triangles, undercarriage, engine, tyres, out wheels (temper), windscreen wipers, flat batteries, roof, bumper removal or other losses of use.
The pre-authorized amount (excess or deposit) will be fully refunded at the end of the rental period, provided no damage or additional charges arise. In the event of a collision/accident/incident, if it is determined by the police or insurance that the collision/accident/incident is not the hirer’s responsibility, no pre-authorized amount will be charged.
The release period for the pre-authorized amount (excess or deposit) typically ranges from 5 to 15 days but may be longer depending on the type of card and the country of issuance. If the pre-authorized amount was paid in cash, it will be returned to the hirer immediately after the rental period ends.
Please note one day rental is available only at the offices and the hirer cannot apply for any additional insurance coverages, such as the Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW), Full Comprehensive Insurance (FCI), Theft Protection (TP), or Windscreen, Tyres, and Keys (WTK) Protection.
The guaranteed amount varies depending on the car group and the insurance coverage selected.

Insurance Coverages: Ways2go Car Rental Ltd offers three different insurance options with varying levels of protection. With each, all authorized drivers have Liability Insurance for Third Party death, injury, and property damage up to the maximum amounts specified by the Republic of Cyprus.
- Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
The daily rental price includes the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), which reduces the hirer’s liability for damage to the rented vehicle, provided that the Traffic Laws of the Republic of Cyprus are not violated, to the following amounts:

- Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW)
Available for purchase at the time of booking or at the rental office, the Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) offers upgraded protection. It reduces the hirer’s liability for damage to the rented vehicle and the excess amount applied under the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) by 50% provided that the Traffic Laws of the Republic of Cyprus are not violated. Therefore, the charges for the hire’s liability are as follows:

- Full Comprehensive Insurance (FCI)
Available for purchase at the time of booking or at the rental office, Full Comprehensive Insurance (FCI) provides maximum protection and includes Theft Protection (TP). It eliminates the hirer’s liability, and the excess amount applied under the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) by 100% (ZERO excess). This means that the hirer has no liability in the event of collision/accident/incident with another vehicle or theft of the rented vehicle, provided that the Traffic Laws of the Republic of Cyprus are not violated. However, a minimum deposit will be required in case the driver violates the insurance terms or causes any other damages to the rented vehicle. This deposit will be refunded immediately in the same form once the rental period is complete provided no additional charges arise.

Additional Insurance Coverages:
- Windscreen, Tyres and Keys (WTK) Protection
Windscreen, tyres, and keys are not included in any of the insurances, and any damages are the hirer’s responsibility. However, the hirer’s liability for damage to the car’s windscreen, tyres, and keys can be reduced to ZERO by paying a daily charge based on the car group as follows:

- Theft Protection (TP)
Theft protection is a service that reduces the hirer’s liability in the event of theft of the rented vehicle to ZERO, by paying an additional daily charge based on the car group. This protection does not cover theft or damage to personal belongings.
Please note: Theft Protection is included free of charge with our Full Comprehensive Insurance (FCI).

Please Note:
- If a hirer requests additional insurance, such as Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW), Theft Protection (TP), Protection, or Full Comprehensive Insurance (FCI), Windscreen, Tyres and Keys (WTK), and the contract has been amended, Ways2go Car Rental Ltd will not be able to remove any of the insurances and issue a refund if the hirer changes their mind.
- If a hirer requests to add insurance to the rented vehicle after pick-up and after the contract has been signed, Ways2go Car Rental Ltd will need to schedule an appointment for an inspection of the vehicle. This process may take up to one (1) hour. If any scratches, damages, or defects are found during the inspection, Ways2go Car Rental Ltd reserves the right to refuse the addition of insurance and may charge the hirer for any identified issues.
Insurance Limitations: No insurance coverage is provided in the following cases, and the hirer will be subject to additional charges for any damages caused to the rental car or third party.
- If the rental car is driven into the occupied Northern part of Cyprus.
- If the rental car is driven under the influence of alcohol, medication, or any other substances.
- If the rental car is driven on unpaved roads, non-tarmac surfaces, trails, or off-road areas unsuitable for its purpose.
- If the rental car is intentionally damaged.
- If traffic regulations are not followed.
- For lost or totally damaged hire car keys, which are chip-coded and expensive to replace. In such cases, the customer will be charged for the replacement key, which can cost from €150 to €300, plus any associated transport costs. The charges depend on the specific car key/device.
- For unauthorized driving (drivers not listed on the rental agreement).
- For any unreported accidents or theft of the rental car.
- For damages caused to the hire car’s engine, gearbox, electronics, or body due to customer negligence or abuse.
Breakdowns & Accidents: Ways2go Car Rental Ltd has a dedicated department working 24/7 to prioritize accidents, emergencies, or breakdowns.
In case of a breakdown or accident, the hirer must immediately inform our 24/7 support team by calling +357 99 180 777 and request advice or assistance.
In case of collision/accident/incident under no circumstances should the vehicle be moved unless instructed by a police officer. Should you move the vehicle the insurance will become invalid, and the hirer is liable for all costs. Should another vehicle be involved, the local traffic police must be notified or the vehicle insurance representatives before either vehicle is moved. Any collision/accident/incident with another vehicle on the public road where the damage is significant or not, must always be reported to the police, to the rental company and to our insurance company straight away and brief information must be provided of where the incident took place in order for them to attend the place of collision/accident/incident.
In the event of a collision/accident/incident where the car is not drivable, Ways2go Car Rental Ltd has no obligation to change or replace the car, and no refund will be issued. If the collision/accident/incident is determined to be not the hirer’s fault according to our insurance/police, the hirer will not be held responsible for the car damages and will not be required to pay any amount for them.
In case of a breakdown, we will provide immediate technical support and, if necessary, send a replacement car.
Additional Driver: An additional driver can be added to the rental agreement at any time before or after the contract is signed. An extra fee will apply, depending on the additional driver’s age and the number of days the additional driver will be covered.
The additional driver must provide their personal information, such as ID/Passport, and driving license (all terms and conditions from the Car Pick-up section apply).
Ways2go Car Rental Ltd reserves the right to remove the additional driver if the required documents and/or payment have not been provided.
The hirer may request the removal of the additional driver with a full refund only before the contract is signed. Once the rental agreement is signed, no changes can be made, and the hirer will not be entitled to a refund, even if the additional driver does not use the vehicle.
Additional Equipment: Hirer can request extra equipment, such as baby safety seats, toddler safety seats, child safety seats, booster seats, and pet car seat before or after the pick-up and contract is signed. These additional equipments have a one-time payment no matter the length of the contract or car group. The charges are shown in the following table. All equipment must be returned at the end of the rental period. Failure to return any equipment will result in a penalty.
Please note: Responsibility for the installation of baby/toddler/child safety seats, booster seats and pet car seat rests with the hirer and will not be done by Ways2go Car Rental Ltd employees. This is due to liability in case of inappropriate installation.

Hirers have the right to request the removal of equipment at any time before or after pick-up and contract signing. No refund will be provided after the car is picked up, even if the equipment is later removed. However, a refund will be given if the equipment was paid for but removed before the car is picked up and the contract is signed.
Also, all cars come equipped with a mobile phone holder, universal phone charger, universal charging cable, and GPS navigation system. These items must be kept safe and returned at the end of the rental period. If any item or part is missing, a penalty with a charge of €10 for each part will be applied.
Driving the car to the occupied Northern part of Cyprus: Ways2go Car Rental Ltd strictly prohibits driving our rental vehicles into the occupied Northern part of Cyprus. Our insurances do not provide coverage for any rental car or third-party claims for the occupied northern part of Cyprus due to political reasons. Any insurance coverage, whether for the rental car or third parties, becomes invalid when the vehicle enters the northen-occupied areas. Even if you purchase additional insurance at the border, it will not be recognized by Ways2go Car Rental Ltd or the Cypriot government. Also, Ways2go Car Rental Ltd cannot offer any assistance in the occupied areas, including help with accidents, breakdowns, or emergencies. If you drive into the occupied Northern part of Cyprus, you will be fully responsible for any damages or breakdowns, any emergencies that occur, returning the vehicle to the southern part of the island at your own cost, and coordinating with the Turkish authorities for insurance matters, which will not be supported or recognized by Ways2go Car Rental Ltd or the Cyprus government. Any documentation provided by authorities (police, insurance, borders) in the occupied north will not be recognized by the Cyprus government, making you solely responsible for any accidents, damages, recovery costs, and additional expenses that may arise.
Driving Laws & Traffic Fines: All speeding tickets, parking fines, traffic fines, or any other fines resulting from the hirer’s misconduct are the hirer’s responsibility and will be issue under their own name and ID.
Ways2go Car Rental Ltd has no responsibility to pay fines on behalf of the hirer or to remind the hirer to pay any fines. Additionally, no insurance covers fines issued by the police. Any fines resulting from the hirer’s misconduct are the hirer’s responsibility and will be issue under their own name and ID.
Please Note: Speed limit signs are in kilometers per hour. Mobile cameras and police radar speed guns are extensively used and may not always be visible.
Mileage Policy: Ways2go Car Rental Ltd offers unlimited kilometers policy.
Fuel Policy: Way2go Car Rental vehicles must be returned with the same level of fuel as provided at the start of the rental. The initial fuel level is marked based on the following scale:

The fuel level will be noted upon pickup and recorded in the agreement to avoid any fuel charges. If the hirer returns the vehicle with less fuel than provided, the hirer will be charged for the missing fuel at the current daily rates, along with a refuelling service charge of €20 (Refuelling Fee). There will be no refund for any additional fuel at the end of the rental.
Cancellation Policy: The hirer has the right to cancel the rental agreement up to 48 hours before signing and collecting the vehicle and is entitled to a full refund. If the cancellation is made between 24 and 48 hours before the scheduled pickup, the hirer is eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the pickup will not be refunded.
In such cases, Ways2go Car Rental Ltd may issue a voucher for the full amount with no expiration date instead of a refund.
If the rental agreement is signed and the vehicle is picked up, and the hirer requests cancellation or termination of the contract before the original end date, Ways2go Car Rental Ltd will charge for the days used based on a new daily rate. The rental price varies depending on the length of the rental and vehicle type.
Additionally, Ways2go Car Rental Ltd reserves the right to provide a voucher for the remaining amount paid if the rental agreement is terminated early, rather than issuing a refund.
Voucher: A printed or electronic copy of your voucher must be presented upon arrival. Failure to provide the voucher may result in the Ways2go Car Rental representative charging you at local rates.
No-show Policy: If the booked vehicle is not collected or is not picked up at the agreed time, the rental charge paid will be forfeited in full. A ‘No-show’ occurs in the following situations:
- Hirer fails to pick up the car at the scheduled time and date.
- Hirer fails to provide the required documentation for vehicle pickup.
- Hirer fails to present a card in the main driver’s name with sufficient funds.
- The company determines that the driver is not fit to drive.
In any of these cases, no refund will be issued for the amount paid.
Roadside Assistance: Ways2go Car Rental Ltd offers 24/7 free roadside assistance for breakdowns, keys delivery (in case of loss), towing, winching, flat batteries, flat tyre changes, lockout emergencies and more.
Cyprus Roads: Driving Ways2go Car Rental vehicles on any surface other than regular public road surfaces, such as tarmac, asphalt, or concrete, is strictly forbidden. Driving on uneven roads and paths leading to locations like Akamas Reserve, Akamas Gorge, Turtle Beach, Lara Bay, Blue Lagoon, Waterfall Bath Adonis, Cavo Greko National Park, and similar areas without proper road surfaces may cause damage to the vehicle’s undercarriage, for which the hirer will be liable.
Before rental agreement starts: The hirer and a Ways2go Car Rental Ltd representative must inspect and document to the Rental Agrement any existing damages, scratches, defects, and the amount of fuel in the rented vehicle before signing the rental agreement. The hirer is requested to satisfy himself that the physical condition of the vehicle correlates with the description on the Rental Agreement and to inform the Ways2go Car Rental Ltd representative if there is a disparity at the commencement of the rental.
By signing the vehicle Rental Agreement, the hirer acknowledges and agrees to all Terms & Conditions of Ways2go Car Rental Ltd.
Vehicle Return Condition: The rental car must be returned in the same condition as when it was picked-up, with no new damages. Upon return, a staff member will inspect the car to ensure it matches its original condition. Photos will be taken to document the car’s condition upon return.
Any damage not recorded in the picked-up photos, which were emailed to the customer on the delivery date, will be considered new damage. The hirer will be held liable for such damages. New damages will be verified by comparing the photos taken at pick-up with those taken at drop-off. Photos showing any damage will be emailed to the customer before any charges are applied.
While in charge of the vehicle, the hirer is responsible for maintaining its roadworthiness and agrees to take necessary actions to prevent unnecessary costs or damage. This includes maintaining oil levels, tyre pressures, and other routine checks to ensure the vehicle remains in good condition. Costs will generally be covered only if they are authorized in advance by the rental office.
Additionally, if the hirer returns the car outside working hours, they will remain responsible for the rental car until a Ways2go Car Rental Ltd representative inspects the vehicle and confirms it has been returned in its original condition as provided at pick-up.
Acceptable state: The rental car must be returned in a clean and acceptable condition, free from excessive dirt, animal hair, sand, mud, stained upholstery, markings, signs of neglect, or improper use. If the car’s interior is exceptionally dirty upon return and a Ways2go Car Rental Ltd representative cannot inspect the car’s exterior or interior for damage due to dirt, or if there is damage to the seats, upholstery, or carpets, an additional charge for repair and/or deep cleaning will be applied.
The hire also agrees to the following:
- To not permit any other person to drive the rented vehicle without obtaining written consent from Ways2go Car Rental Ltd.
- No person with physical, mental, vision, or hearing defects will be permitted to drive the rented vehicle.
- The rented vehicle must not be used on non-asphalted roads, to propel or tow any other vehicle, for racing, for speed testing, or to carry passengers or goods for reward within Cyprus.
- Do not drive the rented vehicle on flat tyres. In such cases, all damages are the hirer’s responsibility.
- Do not drive under the influence of alcohol.
- Always drive the car with caution and care. If the hirer drives negligently, all insurance coverage ceases, and all damages to the car become the hirer’s responsibility.
- Ways2go Car Rental Ltd reserves the right to terminate the contract and take possession of the car at any time if, in our absolute discretion, we believe the rented car is not being handled properly.
Lost Items: Ways2go Car Rental Ltd is not responsible for any personal items lost during or after the rental period. If an item is found in the vehicle after it has been returned, Ways2go Car Rental Ltd will store the item for up to one year.
It is the hirer’s responsibility to contact Ways2go Car Rental Ltd to request the return of the item. Ways2go Car Rental Ltd reserves the right to either cover the shipping cost or request the hirer to pay for shipping, especially if the hirer resides in a different country.
After one year, Ways2go Car Rental Ltd reserves the right to dispose of any unclaimed items, regardless of their cost or personal value.
Monthly and Long Terms Rentals: Ways2go Car Rental Ltd offers monthly and long-term rentals with prices based on the low or high season, determined by the month of the year. For more information and to arrange these rentals, please contact us via email.
Under the rental agreement, the hirer is required to visit the agreed location once per month for a vehicle inspection by Ways2go Car Rental Ltd. This inspection includes checking for defects, damages, scratches, oil changes, tyre checks or changes, brake checks, MOT, service, and any other necessary maintenance to ensure the car is in proper working condition.
The hirer must pay upfront before the rental period begins and 3-5 days before extending the monthly rental. If the hirer fails to make the required payments or visit our office for the monthly check-up, the rental agreement will not be extended, and the hirer must return the car immediately.
Smoking: A strict no-smoking policy applies to all vehicles. If the hirer smokes or allows smoking in the vehicle, charges will apply. This includes cigarette or cigar smoke or ash as well as vaping. If the vehicle requires cleaning for smoke odour and/or residue, including e-cigarette vapours, a cleaning and fumigation fee of €110 will be charged.
Pets: At Ways2go Car Rental, we welcome pets to ride in our rented vehicles with no additional fees. To ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers, pets should be always kept in a carrier or crate. For added convenience and security, we offer a pet car seat to rent. Renters are responsible for any damage caused by their pets. Therefore, to avoid cleaning charges, vehicles must be returned clean and free of pet hair and/or odour. If it is determined that the vehicle needs to be cleaned inside and/or out due to the pet ride, a cleaning fee of €100.00 will be applied.
Vehicle Tracking: By signing the contract, the hirer grants permission to Ways2go Car Rental Ltd to use GPS tracking devices. Our vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking to monitor all routes in real time. This data will be used solely for company purposes and emergencies, in compliance with our data protection policy.
Tax Invoice: Ways2go Car Rental Ltd will not give to a physical person a tax invoice. Tax invoice will be given ONLY to companies that request and provide all relevant information required to issue a tax invoice.
Taxes: All rates and charges mentioned above are subject to V.A.T.
