What documents do I need to rent a car?
You will need a valid ID or passport, a valid driver’s license (held for a minimum of 3 years), and a credit or debit card. If your license is not in English, Latin, or Roman alphabets, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is also required.
Are there age restrictions for renting a car?
Yes. The minimum age to rent most vehicles is 25 years old, and the maximum age is 80. Drivers aged 21-24 can rent selected car categories (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2, D1, D2, and V) with a surcharge of €4 per rental day. Drivers aged 70-80 will also incur a surcharge of €3 per day (for all groups). Drivers under 21 may still be insured subject to certain conditions.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.) for all necessary guarantee amounts as well as pre-payments and settlement of final rental charges. Also, we accept cash and bank transfers. All payments must be made in euros.
Can I use a third person’s credit card for renting a vehicle?
No, the credit or debit card used for the rental and deposit must be in the main hirer’s name. If the original booking was paid with a third-party card, the hirer may be required to present authorization details. Failure to provide a valid card in the hirer’s name may result in the cancellation of the booking without a refund.
Can I extend or shorten my rental period?
Yes, you can extend or shorten the rental. For extensions, contact us at least 48 hours in advance. For shorter rentals, you’ll receive a refund for unused days based on a revised daily rate.
What is the fuel policy?
Cars must be returned with the same fuel level as provided at pick-up. If the fuel level is lower, you will be charged for the missing fuel plus a €20 refueling service charge.
Do you provide the vehicles at the hotels or airport?
Yes, we offer free delivery and collection services at hotels, villas, and other accommodations in Larnaca, Ayia Napa, Protaras, and Paralimni. We also provide services for free at the Larnaca airport. Please note, there may be additional fees for pick-ups or drop-offs outside of our regular working hours (10 a.m. - 10 p.m.).
To which locations do you provide delivery and collection of rental cars?
We offer free delivery and collection at specified locations in Nicosia, Larnaca, Ayia Napa, Protaras, and Paralimni.
Is insurance included in the rental?
Yes, the daily rate includes basic Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Third Party Liability Insurance. Additional insurance options, such as Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW), Theft Protection (TP), Full Comprehensive Insurance (FCI), and Windscreen, Tyres and Keys (WTK) Protection are available for extra coverage.
What does the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) cover?
CDW reduces your liability for damage to the rented vehicle to certain amounts, but you are still responsible for an excess amount, depending on the car group. However, the excess can be reduced with additional insurance options.
Is a car rental excess/deposit required?
Yes, a pre-authorization excess/deposit is required at the time of pick-up. The amount of the excess/deposit varies depending on the car group and insurance option selected. The pre-authorized amount (excess or deposit) will be fully refunded at the end of the rental period, provided there are no damages or additional charges.
What if I return the car late?
A 59-minute grace period is provided for late returns. After that, an additional charge will be applied based on the extra time used.
Can I add an additional driver?
Yes, you can add an additional driver at any time, provided they meet the age and license requirements. An extra fee will apply depending on the driver’s age and rental period.
What happens in case of an accident or breakdown?
We provide 24/7 roadside assistance. If involved in an accident, notify us and the local police immediately. For breakdowns, we will provide technical support and, if necessary, a replacement vehicle. For accidents or breakdowns, call us on +357 99 180 777.
What is the cancellation policy?
You can cancel your booking up to 48 hours before pick-up for a full refund. If you cancel between 24-48 hours before pick-up, you’ll receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before pick-up are non-refundable.
Do you offer child safety seats or other equipment?
Yes, we offer baby, toddler, and child safety seats, as well as booster seats and pet car seats for €15 each, with a one-time fee. Phone holders, charger and cables, as well as GPS (upon request), are provided free of charge.
Are there any restrictions on where I can drive?
Driving into the occupied northern part of Cyprus is strictly prohibited. Our insurance does not cover that area, and you will be fully responsible for any damages or issues that occur there.
Can I travel with pets?
Yes, pets are allowed, but they must be in a carrier or crate. If additional cleaning is needed due to pet hair or odor, a fee of €100 will apply.
Is there a mileage limit?
No, we offer unlimited kilometers with all rentals.
Can I request a specific car model?
Yes. Reservations are confirmed for a vehicle category and model, unless shown otherwise. However, we may provide a vehicle of the same or higher category depending on availability.
How is the vehicle inspected before and after the rental?
Before and after your rental, a Ways2go representative will inspect the vehicle with the hirer. Photos of the vehicle will be taken at the time of pick-up, and its condition will be documented in writing on the rental agreement to ensure accurate records.
